The predominant challenge of sustainability in built environment, urban expansions and consumption of energy resources largely depends upon Architectural solutions. A comprehensive cadre is thus needed for profession of Architecture to fulfill growing requirements of society. A serious demand for highly trained architects has surfaced within the country in last decade.
The Lahore College for Women University has long history of imparting quality education to the women folk of the country. Since the inception of the university a large number of new disciplines have been introduced. As A result there has been a phenomenal increase in student’s enrollment. Degree of Bachelors in Architecture at LCWU was introduced .The university has established modern, state of art laborites for various subjects. With the establishment of these state of art labs, Architecture Department beholds opportunity to serve as ‘Centre of Excellence’ in the country which will focus on studying the past, present and future trends in the development of built environment. The program shall thus shoulder responsibility of preserving social, cultural and built heritage. The high quality technical expertise with changing times is therefore provided to students.
Curriculum of B-Architecture contains 180 credit hours. Projection analysis incorporates Theory, Practical and Design Studios.17-20 credit hours per semester complete the requirement of five years course.
