Dr. Kausar Malik holds a Ph.D. degree from the National Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology, University of the Punjab Lahore. Her areas of interest are Microbiology, Biochemistry, Entomology, Enzymology, Immunology and Molecular Biology. Dr Kausar Malik is an HEC approved supervisor who authored several books and has over 53 International and 11 National publications, she has filed 3 patents at IPO, Pakistan and holds memberships of several national and international organizations. With several years of teaching and administrative experience, she is currently working as the Director ORIC.
Dr. Fatima Tazeen Husain completed her MSc and MPhil in Inorganic/Analytical Chemistry from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad in 2002 and 2004 respectively. She received her PhD degree from the University of Vienna, Austria in the field of Immuno Analytical Chemistry. Before joining as the Senior Manager Research Operations at ORIC-LCWU she has also served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry at GCU Lahore for a year.
Dr. Muhammad Zia-Ul-Haq, Senior Manager Industrial Linkages, ORIC-LCWU, received his PhD Degree in Pharmacognosy from University of Karachi in 2011. He has more than 8 years of experience working as a Patent Examiner at the Patent Office, Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (Cabinet Division). He has attended many training/workshops in Pakistan and abroad on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). He is looking after the protection of IP created by faculty members and researchers of LCWU at IPO Pakistan and USPTO.
Ms. Shabila Fayyaz, Research Associate at ORIC-LCWU, holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry from The University of Western Ontario, Canada where she also worked as a Teaching Assistant as well as a Research Assistant for two years. Her area of research is fabrication of nano-particles and their applications. She has published research paper in the Journal of Physical Chemistry C. She was also the recipient of the Western Graduate Research Scholarship and Western Graduate Scholarship.
Ms. Tayaba Moeen, Research Associate at ORIC-LCWU, holds a MS degree in Health Psychology from LCWU. Her area of research is on the development of body image scale, which was developed for the first time in Pakistan. She has published a research paper in Pakistan Journal of Social and Clinical Psychology, GCU, Lahore. She has previously worked as a Counselor in SOS and as Office Coordinator in different private organizations.
Ms. Gohar Altaf has completed her MBA from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS). She has previously worked as a teacher for two years at Sharif Education Complex. Currently she is working as an Administrative Assistant at ORIC, LCWU.
