Department of Mass Communication, LCWU organizes Certificate Distribution ceremony for the 1st batch of Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan “Skills for All” Program in collaboration with NAVTTC

On Thursday 21st October 2021, The Certificates Distribution Ceremony of Batch-I Trainees of Prime Minister's Kamyab Jawan Program was held at the Department of Mass Communication, Lahore College For Women University. The institute is proud to be one of the selected universities that are successfully contributing to the Prime Minister's vision of Skills For All through a partnership with National Vocational & Technical Training. A total of  50 trainees completed training in the demanding two trades of Digital Marketing &  SEO and Documentary & Film  Making.
While praising the Department of Mass Communication for their tireless efforts, Engr Shahbaz, NAVTTC congratulated the successful trainees and distributed certificates to them. He also reiterated the key goal of the PM's Kamyab Jawan "Skills for All" Program and the investments made by the government in emerging and high-tech trades with the help of NAVTTC. He also addressed the current Batch-I trainees, urging them to make the best use of their training in the field. He also shared the success stories of a few trainees who were able to gain identity and set up businesses as a result of the skills-based hands-on training they received.
The chief guest of the ceremony incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza, lauded the efforts of the government and NAVTTC in launching such training in emerging technologies trades in Pakistan for the first time. She believed that this would pave the way for a brighter future for Pakistan's youth.
Dr. Anjum Zia said, Head of the Department of Mass Communication, stated that a degree is one thing, but skill is another. She praised the Pakistani government's innovative "Skill for All" initiative. She stated that our success is demonstrated by the students who have begun earning money through various startups.

Speaking on the auspicious occasion, Qasim Ali Shah stated, "Time now demands that we focus on keeping up with the new world." Students are a country's most valuable asset because they are the primary source of increasing the country's resources. Success is determined by your ability and skills.

When speaking to the participants, Ali Asif said, "If you can't find good talent, create it." It is our responsibility to develop talent and provide opportunities for our youth while maintaining a positive attitude and consistency. While emphasizing the importance of hard work, Hafiz Usman, Director Manager of zameen.com, stated that consistent hard work is the key to success.
Documentary & filmmaking, according to Umer Saeed the international freelance filmmaker, is an in-depth and informative resource that is a perfect platform for showcasing Pakistan's true colors.

Qasim Ali Shah, Founder of QAS Foundation, Engr Shahbaz, NAVTTC, Ali Asif, AACE, Hafiz  Usman, Director Manager of zameen.com, Umar Saeed along with the Prof. Dr. Anjum Zia & Incumbent VC Prof. Bushra Mirza gave certificates to the students who successfully completed the vocational training. The ceremony was also attended by resource people, media persons, and students. The ceremony ended with the distribution of souvenirs to distinguished guests.
