Brief Statement of Research Interest

Over the past decade years, my research interests have focused on health psychology, particularly childhood problems related to sleep, teacher’s acceptance rejection, stress, stressors, depression and anxiety in children. I am interested in investigating the intersection of groups and their implication on an individual’s health and educational attainment. I am particularly interested in investigating the factors behind stress in children and adolescents with different chronic physical ailments, alertness cognitive abilities, nutrition issues in Pakistani students, and the predictive ability of these variables or their ability to mediate in research project as well as the influence of sleep problems, malnutrition, stressors on cognitive functioning, and educational functioning of children and adolescents. My research is theoretically informed by health psychology, and clinical psychology. I also carry passion for reaching out to ethnographical research and cross-cultural researches, and unfortunately never found any opportunity and resources to plan such venture in research. To this end, I use both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies in my research.
