A Seminar on “Nanomaterials for Photonics Biosensors “ was held at B-25, PG block, on 6th November, 2023 organised by the Alberuni Physics Society of the Physics Department, LCWU. The guest speaker of the seminar was Mr Arslan Asim from department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Dalhousie University, Canada. The guest speaker presented the biosensing application of a proposed Metamaterial-based optical sensors which can be utilized for the production of smaller device sizes with faster response times and label-free detection. The faculty and students enthusiastically participated in the question answer session at the end of the seminar and Prof. Dr. Zohra Nazir Kayani, chairperson Department of Physics praised such an informative and innovative talk.
