The International Resource Center (IRC) under the umbrella of DFDI provides opportunities to students to extend their learning by complementing their academic experience with international exposure. The IRC team coordinates, collaborates, and partners with international universities to offer students exchange opportunities to experience globalized classroom content, develop employability and transferable skills, and expand international and cultural networks. The IRC also assists students who are looking for financial assistance and scholarships, and offers a range of services to facilitate and support students in going abroad for summer and semester exchange programs, conferences, international competitions, and more. The IRC at LCWU also invites students, professionals, and academics from diverse fields to come forward and learn, conduct research, and be a part of the diverse LCWU community. IRC promotes international academic excellence by strengthening transnational education, student, faculty, and staff exchanges and linkages, international student recruitment, research and entrepreneurship collaborations.

What LCWU IRC does?

The LCWU IRC offers opportunities through exchange and study abroad programs with its partner institutions and other international universities. The International Resource Center (IRC) under the umbrella of the Directorate of Faculty Development and Internationalization (DFDI) plays a crucial role in creating an inclusive and globally engaged campus environment, by providing opportunities to faculty and students to enrich their academic experience with international exposure. The IRC DFDI, LCWU team coordinates, collaborates, and partners with international universities to offer faculty and student exchange opportunities so that they could expand international and cultural networks of research and build entrepreneurship collaborations. Technical and financial assistance, regarding funding opportunities and paper work, is also provided to support faculty and students going abroad for summer and semester exchange programs, conferences, international competitions, and more. The purpose of setting up this hub is to promote and enhance international education programmers with the expressed goal of increasing knowledge transfer, student and staff mobility and knowledge and skill sharing between LCWU and the global academic community.
The state of the art, student centered and interactive tech-supported teaching approaches and methodologies, are being adopted to develop critical thinking and creativity among students. The DFDI is an amalgamation of foreign and indigenous qualified and highly dedicated team of facilitators, involved in research and trainings for higher education opportuniies and ensure that the students are well adept with the upgraded skill-set and evolving market needs. The experience at LCWU will enable students to take up role as active citizens, effectively addressing the ever-changing trends of the intricately woven, tech-driven, and dynamically diverse attributes, of our society, and world at large.
