The mission of Department of Economics at LCWU is to achieve the highest possible standard in education and research in Economics. The department provides knowledge with innovative learning environment and quality education. It develops critical thinking skills and enhances decision making abilities which help the students to become more productive and prepare themselves for successful careers.

The curricula provide opportunities to students by practically applying their knowledge of Economics in resolving current issues which they face at local, national and global level.
