COD's Message

Department of Gender and Development Studies since its establishment is playing key role in making its students viable units of society. Each of our programs is designed to help students better understand the issues and challenges of gender roles, women empowerment, legislation in crucial areas and their relationship to health care, social sciences, biological sciences, and culture. The academic experience and training imparting here enhances graduates’ critical thinking, advocacy, communication, and problem-solving skills desirable in a variety of careers including: business, child and family services, education, mental health, journalism, law, medicine, politics and social service administration and many others. The national and international linkages of the department also playing its role in widening the practical learning experience of its faculty and students.
