The Lahore College for Women University library saw the light of the day in 1920. Since then it has been growing year by year and when the college developed into a university in 2002 the library had already assumed the status of a big university library. The university library now has the following components.

1.    The Central Library is housed in a purpose made building composing a spacious reading room for students, a separate reading room for teaching staff members, a computer laboratory and a binding section. The library has amassed 75,000 books arranged on purpose made shelves.

2.    A Science library having 25,000 volumes on its catalogue.
