For the students of Lahore College for Women University

Career Guidance and Counseling Centre’ is offering counseling and guidance services to students of LCWU. The main focus of the Centre is individual and group counseling under the logo of trust and confidentiality. Individual and Group Counseling sessions are conducted to resolve personal and educational and familial issues of clients. In addition to counseling services, psychological assessment services including intelligence and personality assessment are also available. All these services are offered free of cost for the students and staff of LCWU. Now the centre wants to extend its support with mental health issues in these unprecedented times through online system. The students can avail this online facility to deal with their concerns and issues through professional and confidential counseling services. The issue may include any mental health or personal problems some may include following:
•        Guidance for Subject selection and career decision making
•        Boosting confidence and self-esteem
Learning time management skills

•        Managing stress and anxiety

•        Dealing with interpersonal issues

•        Establishing effective online study habits

•        Anger management

•        Managing family and study life together

The focus of these services is to facilitate our students for managing their concerns and cope effectively with current life demands.

Timings

Monday-Friday            10:00 am – 2:00pm

The information will be kept highly confidential. Due to change in setup the online sessions will be 15-20 minutes duration. The recording of the session by client or counselor is strictly prohibited.

Process and guidelines to avail this facility

  • The personal counseling services will be provided only to currently enrolled students of LCWU.

One of our counseling team members will contact via email requiring further details/or confirmation for online counseling session.
  • The counselor may ask further the nature of problem, duration etc.
  • Expectation from counseling session etc.
  • The timings for the session will be mutually decided by students and counselors.
  • The email containing the WhatsApp number for audio WhatsApp session or Zoom meeting link will be shared

The prospective students of LCWU who are going to apply for BS, MS or PhD program can send their questions regarding selection of major or career pathway selection etc at official face book page of Career Guidance & Counseling Centre LCWU. Our team will answer the queries during official hours.

Online Recourses

Career Guidance and Counseling Centre, LCWU always look forward to see its student have fulfilling and successful life. The uncertainty and challenging environment in response to COVID-19 have developed number of responses including anger, anxiety, loneliness, mood changes, fear and worry. The centre is ready to help students and faculty to deal will these natural responses. Some online information reading material will be uploaded to support and meet the challenge of COVID-19.
