HESSA Success in Alumni Engagement and Development

Fareeha Saeed

Alumni Relations Officer, LCWU

HESSA trainings have enriched my experience in Alumni engagement and networking. These trainings guide us to get benefit from the Alumni who inspire, inform and educate.

Alumni Engagement and Development at LCWUI have been taught that Alumni networking can bring great lucrative benefits to the institutions. EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) can be addressed under the umbrella of alumni. The alumni networking can provide the platform to build an image of inclusive, diverse and welcoming institutions and community. LCWU Alumni Engagement and Development flourished after the exposure of HESSA trainings in person and through webinars

Mentoring Sessions were started in the first time in the history of LCWU. The purpose of these sessions is early engagement of accomplished alumni with the currently enrolled students. These sessions are being conducted successfully regularly in different departments. Through these sessions many current students were able to get answers to their questions regarding their fields in deep conversations. The mentors are selected based on their success in their specific area. These are very enlightening and emotional sessions attended by the respective department’s currently enrolled students and faculty.

On occasion of the 76th Independence Day of Pakistan (14 August, 23),  the Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shagufta Naz  honoured the  generosity and services of LCWU alumni while presenting special shields. The alumni generously donated an amount of 3.5 million and 7.5 million to their alma mater LCWU. The LCWU alumni also donated the trees worth one lac to their alma mater.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been created to define the relationship between the University and its officially recognized network of Alumni Groups. Official recognition is granted to an Alumni Group upon agreeing to the terms, expectations and standards outlined in the MoU.

LogoThe Alumni Corner is revamped on LCWU website  and the success stories section pays homage to the luminous trailblazers of LCWU, showcasing their collective brilliance, enduring dedication, and unwavering connection to an institution that has forever shaped their lives and continues to influence the world through their extraordinary contributions. The Podcasts are also uploaded regularly to recognize and honour the extraordinary alumni of LCWU.
