Message from the Head of Department

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Research and Policy Studies at Lahore College for Women University. The establishment of this department marks an important step toward strengthening research-informed educational practices and policy development in Pakistan.

Education systems today face complex challenges including issues of equity, quality, governance, and sustainability. Addressing these challenges requires professionals who possess strong research competencies, critical thinking abilities, and a deep understanding of educational policy processes. Our department is committed to preparing such professionals by providing rigorous academic training, interdisciplinary learning opportunities, and a strong research culture.

Through our undergraduate and postgraduate programs, students will develop expertise in educational research methodologies, policy analysis, educational leadership, and evidence-based decision making. We also aim to contribute to national and international educational discourse through impactful research aligned with global frameworks such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).
