The vision of Gender & Development Studies (GDS) is to disseminate knowledge through interdisciplinary research and innovative pedagogies and to shine for a globally recognized model of excellence in the field of gender and development studies. To deliberate upon gender equity and inclusive approach and empower students to the effective members of inclusive and peaceful society.

GDS Mission Statement

The mission of the Gender & Development Studies (GDS) is to generate interdisciplinary forms of knowledge about the complex interplay of power and differences in classic and contemporary gender issues in Pakistan. To cultivate strategies to create a safe and inclusive space to protect gender and women’s rights. The Department of Gender and Development Studies strive to enhance the national and international leadership role in the emerging field of gender studies through intellectual inquiry, transformative pedagogies, public engagement, and activism and to prepare the students for future prospects in the field of gender and development studies effectively.
