The first milestone following the signing of the LOI between the Independent Living Center (ILC) at LCWU and Vision Without Barriers (VWB), a U.S.-based organization supporting differently abled individuals, has been achieved. Renovation work has begun at the ILC. Mr. Pavez H.K. Durrani, the Regional Director of VWB, briefed the Vice Chancellor and the LCWU team on the step-by-step initiatives planned to upgrade the Independent Living Center at LCWU. The Center serves all students with disabilities at the university. This upgradation will establish improved facilities for blind and partially sighted students and faculty. Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi, former Vice Chancellor of GCU, Lahore, also joined VWB and LCWU to inaugurate the upgradation work. Dr Asma Seemi Malik , Chairperson of the Sociology department , is the focal person to oversee the renovation work for LCWU.
