Poster competition on the theme of “Media Psychology”

BS students from Applied Psychology Department (Fatima Saleem Dar, Fatima Hamayun and Aleena Ajmal, Semester VII) participated in the inter-university poster competition on the theme of “Media Psychology” organized by the Department of Humanities, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology in October 2014 and won the third prize.

Prof. Talat Shahid at City at 10

On 30th July, 2013, Prof. Talat Sohail, HOD, Department of Applied Psychology, LCWU was invited in a solo appearance on City 42 in live programme titled as "City at 10" to discuss the psychological problems of youth and there were a huge number of calls from parents seeking advice from the eminent psychologist of the city. The speaker was again requested to reappear and give her valuable advice to help the parents in dealing with problems of their children.

Peace Poster Competition

Students from Applied Psychology Department LCWU (BS Part II, Semester IV) won the second and third prize in the peace poster competition held at Allama Iqbal Medical College on 7th may, 2013.

Several universities including University of Management and Technology (UMT), University of Engineering and Technology (UET), LUMS, Kinnaird College, Allama Iqbal Medical College (AIMC) and Government College University (GCU) participated in the contest. About 95 posters were displayed there.

Six students from Applied Psychology Department (LCWU) participated in the contest and presented three posters. Of them, Subreen Amjad and Noor Fatima secured 2nd position and silver medal. Fatima Saleem Dar & Tehseen Zahra secured 3rd position and a bronze medal. Aleena Ajmal and Fatima Hamayun received participation certificates.
