“Sikh Convention” hosted by Governor of the Punjab at Governor House Lahore

LCWU IDVA assigned to Design the Interior of Darbar Hall and facilitate the government and provide all kind of possible facilities for successful event “Sikh Convention” hosted by Governor of the Punjab at Governor House Lahore, from 28th August to 2nd September 2019. The following members of IDVA were participated for the interior Design of Darbar Hall and Art Exhibition for Sikh Convention hosted by Governor Punjab in Governor house Lahore.

As the representative of LCWU the purpose of the visit was to facilitate them and fulfill their requirements related to Art and Design. Faculty members of IDVA, LCWU met with Sectary, Special Sectary, Deputy Sectary and State officer of Governor House and they briefed for further planning of the event design.



Their most immanent requirement was to curate art Exhibition on Sikh Art and display the selected paintings on Sikh Art and architecture in Darbar Hall Governor House. The art works of three artists from our Institute IDVA, LCWU Dr. Samina Nasim, Ms. Aisha Sadiqa, Ms. Nida Ijaz and one renounced artist of Lahore Irfan Quraish were selected for display in this group show.

The Show was inaugurated by Governor of Punjab on 2nd September 2019 and same day visited by Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan. Art work was appreciated by high officials, foreign and local delegations, which was an honorable moment for all of us as presenter of our university.
