APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR APPOINTMENT OF LEGAL ADVISOR

Lahore  College  for Women  University,  Lahore invites  applications  from  the  suitable candidates for appointment of part time Legal Advisor on the following terms and conditions:

Required Educational Qualification, Experience and Terms and & Conditions:

1.The candidate must:

i)be a law graduate from any HEC recognized university.

ii)be registered as a Legal Practioner/ Member with Punjab Bar Council.

iii)Possess  minimum ten years  experience at  High  Court  level at  the  closing  date  of receipt of application.

iv)Have  complete  knowledge  of Punjab  Government  Service  Rules  and  University Service Statues/Rules &Regulations and related functioning of university.v)Have the ability to pursuecases relating to University before any Court of Law.

2.Appointment shall be made for two years which shall start from the date of joining.In case of unsatisfactory work, appointment can be terminated during the course of employment period.

3.Private  practice  may be  allowed,  however,  he/she cannot appear  before  any Court of Law against Lahore College for Women University, Lahore.

4.Monthly stipend of Rs.25,000/-shall be subject to government approval.

5.Stipend, once determined, shall not increase or decrease during the period of appointment.

6.Payment  of  legal  fee shall  be  paid  on  case  to  case  basis as  determined  by  the  Syndicate. Half fee at the time of filing of case and remaining fee at the time of decision of case

7.The payment to the legal advisor is subject to deduction of applicable taxes as per law.

8.No fee shall be charged for tendering advice required by the university in all other issues.

9.The  appointment  of  legal  advisor can  be terminated  by University Administration on  one month  notice  or  payment  of  one  month stipend at any  time  with  the  prior  approval  of Government. The  legal  advisor can also quite  job on  one  month  notice  or stipendin  lieu thereof.

10.No TA/DA shall be paid for the interview.11.The University reserves the right to:

i.withdraw the advertisement.

ii.withhold the appointment.

iii.Increase/decrease number of Legal Advisor.

12.The application completedin all respect can be submitted through courier or by hand in the office  of  Registrar,  LCWU  till 10-04-2020.No  application  shall  be  received  after  the  closing date.

13.Application form and challan form are available on the LCWU website i.e. www.lcwu.edu.pk

14.The processing fee is Rs. 1000/-(non-refundable).
