The Department of Physics LCWU organized three days International Conference on “Emerging Trends in Physics” (ICETP-2021) in hybrid mode" from 23^rd to 25^th November 2021. The main objective of the conference was to provide a platform for young researchers to improve research skills and updation of technical knowledge through recent advancement in science and technology.  In first two-days (online mode), delegates from national level and international technological advanced countries like USA, UK, Canada, China, Tunisia, Spain attended the conference and presented their research work. On 25^th November (Physical mode), Dr. Khalil Ahmad (Department of Physics, Virtual University), Prof. Dr. Shazia Bashir (Director CASP, GCU, Lahore), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sabieh Anwar, (Dean, School of Sciences and Engineering, LUMS) and Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti (Rector Virtual University, Lahore) presented their research work. A poster competition was also organized among the MS and PhD students during ICEPT-2021 and large number of students from various universities in Lahore were participated in this research-based competition. Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq-Ur-Rahman Professor (Meritorious), Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zakria Butt also honored the conference by attending it as Guest of honors and eminent Physicist respectively. In closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Zohra Nazir Kayani, Chairperson Physics department appreciated the staff and faculty for organizing conference successfully and share her gratitude towards the vice chancellor, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza for encouraging research activities in Physics department. The worthy vice chancellor and guest of honours appreciated the successful conduction of international conference in hybrid mode and congratulate the Chairperson Prof Dr Zohra Nazir Kayani and whole organizing team for taking this initiative in promotion of science and technology in the university.
