The three–day 1st International Conference on Sustainable Development Goals (ICSDG 2022) organized by the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization and Directorate of Research, Lahore College for Women University, Lahore began here with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development covering wide range of interrelated goals, including poverty eradication and economic growth, social inclusion, environmental sustainability and peace for all people by 2030.
The conference provided an excellent opportunity for participants to engage in cross-sectoral dialogues with government officials, NGOs, UNDP, SDG support unit of government of Punjab, and faculty and staff of various universities. The conference also provided opportunities for international collaboration and SDG related research among LCWU and international universities. The panels and participants reviewed comparative approaches and developed international best practice on tackling the SDGs.
