Students of the Home Economics Department, LCWU visited K&N’s chicken processing facility on 16th November, 2022. A total of 24 students (BS III Semester 7, Food & Nutrition) and four faculty members visited the plant, where the concerned professionals gave a detailed tour of various poultry processing sections.
These sections included:
• Slaughtering Area
• Cleaning and raw meat packaging section
• Product Processing Section
• Storage section
• Quality Control Laboratory
In an overview, the visit was very informative and exciting for the students and provided them with an in-depth understanding of poultry processing.
