Khadija tul Kubra Business Incubation Center (KBIC) organized a one-day pre-incubation training session on December 20, 2023, focused on "Start-up Fundamentals and Business Essentials" for Cohort 2023.
The event was led by Dr. Maria Anjum, Director K-BIC, and K-BIC Team including Ms. Farah Qureshi (HR and Finance Officer), Mr. Muhammad Yousaf (Business Development Officer), Ms. Nadia Tahir and the Entrepreneurial Club. Respected faculty members including Dr. Neelma Munir (Biotechnology Dept.), Mr. Omer Shujat Bhatti (Architecture Dept.), and Dr. Hannan Mukhtar (Botany Dept.) also attended the session.
Dr. Maria Anjum [Director, K-BIC] commenced the session with a captivating exploration of essential aspects including market dynamics, stakeholder engagement, customer studies, and needs assessment. Dr. Anjum's discourse extended to competitor analysis, commercialization strategies, and the significance of addressing customer pain points as a pivotal selling point for startups.
Mr. Muhammad Yousaf [Business Development Officer, K-BIC] followed with a well-structured presentation covering critical areas of financial management for business startups. His talk provided a comprehensive overview of public, corporate, and personal finance, emphasizing key terminologies integral to effective financial management.
Ms. Farah Qureshi [HR and Finance Officer, K-BIC] contributed valuable insights on crafting impactful business idea slides. Her detailed presentation covered executive summaries, goals, objectives, market analysis, management structures, product or service descriptions, financial projections, risk analysis, and future plans. A hands-on exercise engaged participants in networking activities to reinforce the learning experience.
