The Peace Society of LCWU organized an Awareness Walk on Thursday 2nd February, 2023, under the project titled PACT (Peace, Advocacy and Community Engagement through Transformation) headed and lead by the Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SEFA). The purpose of organizing this walk was to create awareness among faculty and students to promote peace and harmony on the campus. Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza, Vice Chancellor LCWU, joined the walk as Chief Guest.

All the members of the Peace Society were present at the event. Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza, the worthy Vice Chancellor, stressed the need to sensitize the administration, faculty and students in educational institutions to respect the ethnic, cultural, and religious diversities on campuses to promote peace, tolerance and inclusivity in society. She emphasized that our youth can play a crucial role in this noble cause.  Dr. Sumera Sajjad, Director Student Affairs and Head of the Peace Society appreciated the enthusiasm of the attendees to promote peace and harmony on the campus. She emphasized events like these are the need of the hour. She thanked all those who participate in the walk. She declared that the Peace Society would continue to organize such events in the future.
