Fareeha Basit Khan Literary Society organized a commemorative event to honor Pakistan's 76th Independence Day. Marking this significant occasion, the society held an essay writing competition, infused with the spirit of independence. The event was arranged to celebrate the essence of freedom, and to distribute prizes among the accomplished participants and winners. The distinguished Judge and Guest of Honor, Prof. Dr. Zakia Nasir, graced the occasion. The proceedings commenced with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Pakistan's National Anthem. Prof. Zakia Nasir, in her eloquent address, spoke about the significance of Independence Day and the purpose behind the essay competition. Later, she unveiled the competition winners, offering heartfelt commendations to all participants. Expressing gratitude, Dr. Amara Khan, the chairperson of English Department extended a vote of thanks, paving the way for the distribution of prizes to the deserving competitors. Concluding the event, bouquets were presented to Dr. Zakia Nasir and Dr. Amara Khan, accompanied by high hopes for a brighter future for Pakistan.
