Lahore College for Women University held the launch of the Centennial Edition of Kiran Magazine on June 23rd, 2023. This event was diligently organized by the esteemed Departments of English and Urdu. The honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr Bushra Mirza, was the Chief Guest of the event. Ms Shaista Sonu Sirajuddin and Mrs Farasat Arsalan were the Guests of Honor of English Department. The Department of Urdu welcomed Ms. Khawaja Ahmed Mateen as their Guest of Honor. They brought together an esteemed gathering of distinguished guests who have shared a longstanding association with the university. Also in attendance were the dedicated staff members and faculty from various departments.The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Following this, inspiring speeches were delivered by the prestigious advisors of the magazine, paving the way for the much-anticipated moment of unveiling. The digital launch of the Kiran Magazine unfolded, revealing its captivating covers on multimedia platforms. With great honour, the Centennial Edition of Kiran Magazine was presented to the esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza, and the respected Dean of Islamic and Oriental Learning, Prof. Dr. Syeda Faleeha Zahra Kazmi. Esteemed guests, along with the Chairpersons of the English and Urdu departments, graced the event with their enlightening speeches, accentuating the significance of this milestone. As a magnificent finale, the stage was adorned by a captivating enactment performed by the acclaimed Sirajuddin Dramatic Society.Through this remarkable event, Lahore College for Women University paid homage to its rich legacy, while embracing the boundless possibilities of the future.
