In-line with the theme of World Mental Health Day 2023; “Mental Health is Universal Human Right”. Career Guidance and Counseling Centre (CGCC) organized a seminar on Psychological First Aid. Ms. Mamoona Riaz was resource person of the event. The seminar was held virtually and in-person in collaboration with University of Jhang to outreach the small city population. The event was held on 12^th October, 2023. The purpose of the activity was to sensitize and aware the youth about disaster, trauma and public health emergencies. The practical strategies of providing psychological first aid was delivered to the audience. Ms. Mamoona Riaz is also a master trainer for Psychological First Aid from The Korean Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. The audience was guided how to provide help to victims including children, adults and individual with special needs, immediate aftermath of disasters. Dr. Syeda Raiha was responsible to organize activity physically in the premises of University of Jhang. Around 150 students and faculty from various disciplines attended the event. The information was well received by the participants.
