Dated: October 17, 2023: The Statistical Society of LCWU organized An Educational Tour to Punjab Bureau of Statistics to provide students with practical insights into the operations of a Punjab Bureau of Statistics and real-world applications of statistical methodologies. Students of BS Statistics semester 5, along with COD and faculty members visited bureau on 17th October, 2023. Director Shams-ul-Huda and Assistant Director Muhammed Asif Yousaf provided an overview of their role in collecting, analyzing and disseminating statistical data. A question-and-answer session provided students with the opportunity to seek and gain deeper insights into statistical work and the challenges faced by the PBS. The educational tour to the Punjab Bureau of Statistics provided student with practical exposure, enhanced their knowledge, and inspired them to consider career in statistics and data analysis. Such initiative bridges the gap between academia and real-world applications, nurturing a future generation of informed and motivated professionals.
