Physics Department LCWU Hosted Successful Patent Drafting Workshop with Diverse Participation

The department of Physics, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) hosted a successful Patent Drafting Workshop in collaboration with ORIC, LCWU and PCSIR Lahore. The workshop, held on 29th April 2024, aimed to highlight the critical role of patents in innovation, technology disclosure, and commercialization.

Under the leadership of LCWU's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shagufta Naz, the event received significant support and permission, enabling the participation of students and faculty from various departments, including Botany, Chemistry, Management Sciences, Biotechnology, Zoology, and CSSP, Punjab University, Lahore.

The highlight of the workshop was the insightful session delivered by Alim Un Nisa, Principal Scientific Officer, PCSIR Lahore. Participants from different academic backgrounds gained practical knowledge and skills in patent drafting, thanks to her expertise and guidance.

Prof. Dr. Safia Anjum, Chairperson, Physics Department, played a pivotal role in organizing the event, ensuring its smooth conduct and success.

The workshop concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony. It was a fulfilling conclusion to a day filled with knowledge-sharing and skill-building.
