The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), through its Higher Education System Strengthening Activity, organized Vice Chancellors’ Meeting for Vice Chancellors of Pakistani universities. Leaders from the public sector universities gathered to share the strategic plans that each university is developing.

Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, Vice Chancellor of Lahore College for Women University, attended the HESSA Vice Chancellors’ Meeting.  Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi engaged in discussions with fellow Vice Chancellors from HESSA partner universities during the meeting, which was hosted by USAID at the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad on 20th December, 2024. The meeting was also attended by the HESSA/University of Utah team—Prof. Dr. Aslam Chaudhry and Prof. Mike Barber.

The event facilitated a gathering of esteemed higher education leaders to deliberate on progress, strategic planning, and future directions. The meeting focused on several critical topics, the Key topics addressed during the meeting included a review of project progress, an overview of it the approved work plan for year 4, and strategies for advancing policy dialogues and finalizing university strategic plans.
