2nd International Seminar "Echoes of Leadership: Women’s Imprints in Shaping Contemporary Arabic Literature"
On December 17, 2024, 2nd International Seminar "Echoes of Leadership: Women’s Imprints in Shaping Contemporary Arabic Literature “was held by Dept. of Arabic to celebrate World Arabic Language Day.
The Dean of the Faculty of Islamic and Oriental Learning warmly welcomed the international guests to the institution. Dr. Qurattulain Tahirah, Assistant Professor in the Arabic Department, emphasized the importance of the seminar, provided its background, and expressed gratitude to the esteemed speakers.
The event featured esteemed international guest speakers, including:
- Prof. Dr. Ali Ahmad Rasheed Al-Momini (Jordan)
- Prof. Dr. Nuha (Palestine)
They delivered insightful presentations on the significant contributions of women to modern Arabic literature, exploring their roles as poets, writers, and translators.
Following Scholars from Arab Countries also share their views and appreciated women contribution in different fields.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, conveyed her appreciation to the organizers for hosting this significant seminar, which highlighted the value of collaborative research and academic exchange in the field of Arabic literature. The organizer of this event Dr. Quratulain Tahira(Assistant professor of Arabic Dept. LCWU), received commendation for her efforts in organizing such impactful international events.
At the event's conclusion, the Dean presented souvenirs and certificates to the international guests as a token of appreciation.
