The Exhibit of Architectural Research & Design Studio for Thesis/ Capstone Projects by the Final Year students of B - Arch 2019-24 session at Architecture Department Lahore College for Women University was arranged on 21-02-24. A unique integration of Sustainable Development Goals into the theoretical, practical and studio projects in Architectural Education that was delivered during the five years of extensive teachings. A team of highly competent architects, researchers and academicians at LCWU supervised the students throughout their academic discourse.
Prof Dr Shagufta Naz, Vice Chancellor Lahore College for Women University, inaugurated the exhibition comprising the projects of final year students as well as the Foundation Year . She admired the presentation skills of students reflecting the in depth understanding of Architecture as well as interdisciplinary approaches required to design for better living environments. VC LCWU also highlighted the importance of carbon cutting strategies in the architectural practice to combat climate change and make the world a greener place to live.The ultimate success of Architecture Department by achieving the accreditation by Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners was also celebrated in the event during the cake cutting ceremony .
Architect Dr Yasmeen Ahmed expressed her gratitude to incoming jurors, architects and academicians belonging to various parts of the country and expressed her firm commitment to further progress and development of Architecture Department by producing quality professionals to contribute in the rising demand of society for well versed architects. She thanked her team for their consistency and dedication to the cause of women empowerment and education. The students, staff and faculty were present in large number to experience the exhibit of architectural works on the occasion.
