Physics Department, LCWU Empowers Researchers with Hands-on Training on Materials Studio:CASTEP Simulation Workshop

The Department of Physics, LCWU, Lahore, hosted a hands-on workshop from May 6th to May 8th, 2024, focusing on Materials Studio: CASTEP. Conducted from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day, the workshop emphasized the importance of CASTEP DFT code for accurate calculation and simulation of various material properties. Dr. Muhammad Rizwan from the School of Physical Sciences, University of the Punjab, Lahore, served as the resource person for the event. Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Shagufta Naz, Vice Chancellor of LCWU, Lahore, and organized by Prof. Dr. Safia Anjum, Chairperson of the Physics Department at LCWU, the workshop provided valuable insights into computational methods essential for material analysis.
