Anti Narcotics Awareness Seminar was conducted by ANF in collaboration with LCWU on 21st November, 2024. Dr Sumera Sajjad Director Student Affairs, Dr Ghazala Noreen Head Secondary Education and Chief Proctor, Dr Hafsa Batool, Medical Officer along with NFC officials conducted a seminar at LCWU. A large number of students and faculty attended the seminar.
The purpose of an anti-narcotics awareness seminar was to educate faculty and students about the dangers of drug abuse, promote healthy lifestyles, and raise awareness about the harmful effects of narcotics on physical, mental, and social well-being. Moreover, the seminar discussed with students the strategies to monitor any negative activities related to drug abuse and act as whistle blowers to report negative elements.
The seminar aimed to provide information on the signs of drug abuse, prevention strategies, and available support systems for individuals struggling with any such issues. The students and faculty were made aware of the strategies to reduce the stigma surrounding addiction, encouraging people to seek help and highlighted the legal consequences of drug trafficking and consumption, as well as the broader societal impacts.
