An International Webinar on “Promotion of Urdu language and literature in Uzbek Universities and their links to Pakistani Universities”was organized by Department of Urdu in collaboration with DFDI Lahore College for Women University on Thursday, December 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza attended as a special guest. Dr. Rehana Kausar in charge of Urdu Department highlighted the services of Urdu Department and gave a brief introduction of Lahore College for Women University.

The President of the Department of Urdu, Uzbakistan University also introduced his institution. Students and faculty of Uzbakistan University presented papers in which an overview of the services rendered by various literary personalities of Uzbekistan for Urdu language and literature was presented.

The moderators of the webinar were Dr. Shazia Razzaq and Dr. Altaf Yousafzai from Uzbakistan University. Among the organizers are Director DFDI Dr. Anjum Tahira and Dr. Noorin Razzaq, Dr. Naila Anjum and Miss Rafia Zubair from Urdu Department.
