Speakers at the 1st International virtual conference attached great importance to conduct research in different disciplines of social sciences while keeping gender perspective in consideration.
The Department of Gender & Development Studies, Lahore College for Women University, and Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) hosted the 1st International virtual conference on "Gender and Social Sciences: Diversity, Challenges, and Opportunities" under the US-Pakistan University Partnership Grant Program (UPGP) funded by US Mission to Pakistan and administered by United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP).
The Vice Chancellor of LCWU Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza and the Dean of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Muhammad Afzal attended the conference along with respected Dr. Subha Malik, former HOD Gender & Development Studies and Dr. Uzma Ashiq Khan Incharge Gender & Development Studies along with all the staff members.
The conference was also attended by Dr. Aneeq Ahmed professor and Chair, Dept. Of Psychology, Handerson State University USA, Dr. Maria Fannin, Professor of Geography, Bristol University, Dr. Sikandar Hayat Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences at Forman Christian College, Prof. Dr. Sarah Shahed, Program Coordinator FCCU, Dr. Jonathan Addleton, Rector Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) and Dr. Douglas Trimble. Vice Rector FCCU and many other also shared their views on Gender and Social Sciences.
