Combating Human Trafficking and Bonded Labor in Person

Department of Sociology, Lahore College for Women University, Lahore has organised an awareness raising seminar and Poster competition on the theme "Combating Human Trafficking and Bonded Labor in Person" in collaboration with University of Punjab and SSDO. Dr. M. Akhter Malik, Provincial Minister of Primary and Secondary Health graced the event. Prof. Dr Intesar Ahmed, Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Asma Seemi Malik, HOD Department of Sociology with other faculty members and students of different departments of LCWU have participated in the event.

Prof. Dr. Farhan Naveed Yousaf, PU, Syed Kausar Abbas, SSDO, Ms. Ayesha Iqbal, MPA has highlighted the issues, causes, policy and prevention of Human Trafficking. Dr. Aisha Shehzad, HOD, Political Science, Ms. Nazia Salahuddin, HOD Social Work were the judges of "Poster Competition". Ms. Kiran Ikram, Lecturer, Department of Sociology moderated the session. The shields and certificates were distributed to the honourable guests and winners of the competition.
