A Seminar on the "Breast Cancer Awareness" was organized by the Department of Gender and Development Studies LCWU in collaboration with the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital on 23rd October 2023 at Student Service Center, LCWU. Dr. Uzma Ashiq Khan, Incharge GDS department shared her views about working with SKMH on this campaign since 2004.
The regional manager of SKMT Mr. Masrur Lodhi joined with his team. Dr. Maira Nowsherwani, healthcare professional explained and discussed the importance of awareness regarding breast cancer and its prevention by early detection. Ms Fariha Faisal, cancer survivor, also shared her testimony. Faculty of GDS and students of LCWU joined the seminar.
