The Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis LISA LCWU organized a one-day workshop on "Study Design and Sample Size Calculation" on 29th November, 2023. Ms. Noor Shahid, Lecturer in the Department of Statistics at LCWU, presented her services as the resource person. The workshop provided participants, with a comprehensive overview of commonly used study designs in research. Participants were equipped with practical training on utilizing various applications and calculators for sample size calculation, depending upon the specific research objectives, study design, and available information. Additionally, valuable literature on study design and sample size determination was shared to aid participants in their future research. The students and faculty from the Department of Statistics, along with faculty members from other departments, affiliated colleges, and LCWU alumni attended the workshop. In recognition of their participation, Dr. Asifa Kamal, Chairperson, Department of Statistics, presented certificates to the resource person and the workshop participants.
