Political Science Department is going to conduct an international conference on Contemporary Trends in South Asian Politics on 30th January 2024, where students will have tremendous opportunity to participate in academic discussions on a variety of trends in politics of South Asian region, including federal issues, ethnic diversities, challenges to democracy, blue economy, non-traditional defense indicators and climate change.
The political science society arranged an interactive pre-conference lecture with Dr. Christina Horvath from the University of Bath, England, as a first step towards reaching the milestone. She is the head of the EU-funded Disputed Territories and Memory Project in addition to being a reader of French Politics. Her areas of specialization are co-creation, urban marginality, and culture and politics. For the student body, the talk was informative, and it was a successful start to the international conference.
