Dated: December 4^th – 6^th, 2023, The Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis (LISA-LCWU) organized a three-day workshop focused on "Spatial Analysis". Dr. Maryam Ilyas, Assistant Professor, College of Statistical Sciences, University of the Punjab, shared her expertise as the resource person for the event and delivered a comprehensive overview with valuable perspectives on spatial analysis. Hands-on training session on R-language was an additional aid to the participants for learning spatial data analysis. The students and faculty of the Department of Statistics, LCWU alumni, as well as researchers outside LCWU specializing in Statistics participated in the workshop to learn the emerging skills in this field. In acknowledgment of the valuable contribution as the resource person, a souvenir was presented to Dr. Maryam Ilyas by Dr. Asifa Kamal, the Chairperson of the Department of Statistics. The certificates were presented to the participants for their active involvement throughout the workshop.
