PCB HEC Cricket Women's Intervarsity 2024: Empowering Women in Sports

Lahore, Pakistan  The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), proudly announces the PCB HEC Cricket Women's Intervarsity championship  2024. Organized by Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) under the esteemed supervision of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Uzma Qureshi, this historic event is taking place across four premier venues: Government College University (GCU) Lahore, University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Comsats University Lahore, and Lahore College for Women University.

Event Highlights

The championship  is set to feature 22 public and private universities from across Pakistan, reflecting a strong commitment to promoting women’s cricket. Dr. Sumera Sattar, Director of Sports at LCWU, is ensuring that all participants receive the necessary support and facilities to excel during the championship.

This initiative not only marks a significant milestone in the realm of women’s sports but also showcases the unwavering dedication of Mr. Javed Ali Memon, Director of Sports at HEC, who has been instrumental in fostering opportunities for female athletes.

The primary goal of this championship  is to promote cricket among women, encouraging participation at all levels. The PCB and HEC are working together for the first time in history to create a joint effort dedicated to the development of women's cricket in Pakistan. This initiative is expected to play a vital role in identifying and nurturing talented female cricket players for the future.
