One-Day Hands-on CPD Training Session on "GenAI Nexus: Transforming Ideas into Impact" Organized by DEE, LCWU on 12th February 2025

The Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE) at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) successfully conducted a one-day hands-on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training session titled "GenAI Nexus: Transforming Ideas into Impact" on February 12, 2025. The training aimed to empower participants with cutting-edge AI tools and foster an understanding of how Generative AI can be leveraged for real-world applications.

The session was conducted by Ms. Ismat Hira, a dedicated faculty member in department of Electrical Engineering. Ms. Ismat is an experienced AI practitioner who has successfully deployed multiple AI applications across various platforms. Her expertise stems from a strong academic foundation, professional experience, and continuous learning through career growth certifications from Stanford, IBM, Google and the Pakistan Engineering Council. With a passion for AI-driven innovation, Ms. Ismat is committed to empowering learners with practical insights into idea generation and real-world applications.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and industry professionals. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions, share insights, and explore AI-driven applications tailored to their specific fields. Training has provided an immersive experience in idea generation, prompt engineering, application development, and deployment using GPT models, Google Colab, and Hugging Face Spaces.

The CPD training successfully bridged the gap between AI theory and practical implementation.
