Department of Economics, Lahore College for Women University in collaboration with the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), organised Pre-Budget Seminar FY 2025-26 on April 16, 2025 in FPCCI Regional Office.

The theme of the seminar was “Economic Outlook & Policy Recommendations for the Upcoming Federal Budget". The session was chaired by Mr. Zain Iftikhar Ch. (Regional Chairman & Vice President, FPCCI), Prof. Dr. M. Omer Chaudhrey (VC, GCU) & Mr. Mudassar Tipu-the Pakistani ambassador in Iran.

Ms. Qurrat-ul-Ain & Mr. Zaki Ejaz (VP, FPCCI) and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Afzal from LCWU hosted the event. Dr. Afzal also delivered the message and vision of worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi. “As we stand at a crossroads in Pakistan’s economic journey, LCWU is proud to facilitate the dialogue between Academia, Industry & Media."

The seminar was quite professionally moderated by Dr. Hafsah Batool. Souveniers were distributed to speakers and organizing team.
