International webinar on “Climate Action for a Sustainable Future"

The International webinar titled “Climate Action for a Sustainable Future: Understanding Pakistan’s Challenges & Opportunities”, organized by United Nations University (UNU)GIZ, and GCISC’s Pak-Climate Resilience Network, was successfully held on 23rd June 2025 as a highly interactive and well-received online session. Dr. Nausheen Mazhar, Chairperson & Associate Professor at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), represented LCWU at this prestigious platform and delivered a compelling talk titled “Climate Risks and Resilience Pathways for Pakistan: Challenges, Governance, and Opportunities.” Spanning nearly two and a half hours, the session featured live polling, interactive whiteboards, and collaborative tools that sustained high audience engagement. The event brought together diverse policymakers, academics, students, and climate stakeholders for meaningful dialogue on urgent environmental challenges. Moderated by a team of emerging scholars from the Department of Geography, LCWU — Ms. Samia Asim, Ms. Fatima Rani, Ms. Hira Bhatti, Ms. Amina Fatima, and Ms. Tatheer Rubab Ali — the webinar also showcased the active involvement and leadership of MS students in shaping climate discourse. The event generated strong digital engagement under the hashtag #PakClimateResilience, with Dr. Nausheen’s participation widely appreciated across platforms.
