The English Debating Society of LCWU successfully hosted the Intra-University Independence Day Declamation Contest on August 12, 2025. The event was a vibrant celebration of nationalism and patriotism. Participants delivered spectacular speeches, captivating the audience with their eloquent and passionate delivery on national pride.

The atmosphere was further elevated by a patriotic medley of national songs performed by the university's Music Society. Following this, the distinguished judges Ms. Nadia Shehryar and Ms. Sarah Abdullah offered useful and helpful critiques, providing invaluable feedback to the participants. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the Head, English Debating Society, Dr Amara Khan. The Chief Guest, Director Student Affairs, Dr. Sumera Sajjad, then awarded certificates to the deserving winners, acknowledging their talent and hard work. The contest was a resounding success, fostering intellectual discourse and national pride among the university community, and concluded with a delightful tea reception for all attendees.
