The 21st Convocation of Lahore College for Women University was held in a grand and prestigious manner, celebrating the academic excellence and achievements of thousands of graduating students. The Chief Guest of the convocation was Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, an alumna of LCWU herself, whose return to her alma mater made the event highly emotional and memorable. The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including Education Minsiter Rana Sikandar Hayat, Provincial Information Minister Azma Bukhari, Secretary Higher Education Ghulam Fareed, members of the Punjab Assembly (MPAs), senior education officials, university faculty, academicians, alumni members and parents. The Vice Chancellor of LCWU, Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi warmly welcomed the guests and presented the university’s annual performance report, highlighting LCWU’s remarkable achievements in academics, research, innovation, digital transformation, women empowerment, sports, and international collaborations. She appreciated the continued support of the Government of Punjab, faculty members, alumni, and students in strengthening the university’s legacy of women’s education and empowerment.
During the convocation, degrees were conferred upon thousands of students and scholars from BS, MS, MPhil, and PhD programs, while outstanding students received gold medals, academic distinctions, and roll of honours in recognition of their exceptional performance. The event reflected the spirit of dedication, hard work, and perseverance demonstrated by the students throughout their academic journey.
