ORIC- LCWU in collaboration with Inter University Consortium for Promotion of Social Sciences organized a Startup Founder Workshop on “ How to Build Successful Team and Businesses” at Student Service Center, Lahore College for Women University. The resource persons of the workshop were Ms. Eileen Brewer from America. She has helped to develop and deliver to market over 100 enterprise software and hardware products. Ms.Cathy Simpson, a certified scrum trainer and agile coach.
The Ms. Eileen Brewer & Ms.Cathy Simpson, discussed High performance team techniques for improving efficiency, impediment removal , team management and 21st century job trends.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza welcomed the esteemed guests along with Director ORIC, Prof. Dr. Farkhanda Manzoor.Speaking at the occasion Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza Vice Chancellor LCWU emphasized on the need to promote entrepreneurship, technical knowledge and skills. The creation of the entrepreneurial culture is unavoidable for maintaining social and economic order. Let it be done for our Students, She said. She further added that our students can become successful entrepreneurs by learning digitization and soft skills. She said, 'STEM education is important in sustainable growth of the country and also critical component to win the future, STEM education creates critical thinkers, increases science literacy and enables the next generation of innovators''. She appreciated director ORIC and coordinator Inter University Consortium for Promotion of social sciences for jointly organizing this workshop.
LCWU organized this workshop in collaboration with IUCPSS and AIPS. Participants from eleven other women universities along with LCWU students also attended this event. The event ended with certificate distribution among participants
