Continuous Professional Development Workshop on “Renewable Energy, Planning and Demands” organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering in collaboration with DFDI and PEC, 14th November 2022.
The Department of Electrical Engineering, a registered Pakistan Engineering Body (PEB), in collaboration with the Department of Faculty Development and Internationalization (DFDI) and the Pakistan Engineering Council, hosted a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) workshop at Lahore College for Women University (PEC). The workshop on "Renewable Energy, Planning and Demands." was arranged by Dr. Faiza Iftikhar, PEB-Coordinator, and Dr. Anjum Tahira, Director DFDI. Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran was invited as a guest speaker.
The session was formally launched by Dr. Sadia Murawwat, Chairperson Department of Electrical Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Intesar Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
The session was attended by representatives of the engineering community from FAST, NUST, and Punjab University, as well as students, professionals, and people from academia.
The workshop's patrons thought it was crucial and highly interesting to learn about the different types of renewable energy, their benefits and drawbacks, the greenhouse effect, and global warming.
