An exhibition of calligraphy was held at the Persian Department of Lahore College for Women University in Lahore on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. It was curated by a young and enthusiastic calligrapher of Lahore College for Women University, Miss Asma Ejaz, as a teacher of calligraphy in the Persian department at LCWU. The exhibition consisted of the calligraphy competition held among the students of the Persian department.
Chief guest of the programme, Mr. Shahid  Munir, Chairman Punjab Higher Education Department, inaugurated the exhibition, where Vice Chancellor Lahore College for Women University Lahore, Dr. Shagufta Naz, Iranian Counsellor General in Lahore, Mr. Mehran Muwahid Far, and Director General Iran Culture Centre Lahore Mr. Jaffer Runas, Principal Lahore College for Women Prof. Dr. Safia Anjum, and Controller Examinations Lcwu Ms. Huma Saeed also graced the ceremony with their presence. A large number of students, CODs of various departments at LCWU, as well as faculty members, also visited the exhibition. On this occasion, certificates were distributed among the 1st, 2nd,2nd and 3rd position holders. A certificate of appreciation was also awarded to Ms. Asma Ejaz for her efforts in teaching as well as organising the exhibition. At the end of the ceremony, Professor Dr. Faleeha Kazmi, Vice Chancellor of Home Economics University and Dean of Islamic and Oriental Learning, presented souvenirsto the honourable guests.
