The Inauguration Ceremony of the Women Development Centre (WDC) at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) was held on June 20, 2023, at the student service centre at LCWU. The centre was established with the support of the Women Development Department of the Punjab Government. It is a great initiative by the Women Development Department, the Government of Punjab, and the Department of Gender and Development Studies (GDS) to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment.

The Inaugural Ceremony of the Women Development Centre, followed by the Stakeholders Acknowledgement Ceremony, was also organized for their countless efforts and contributions in the field of women's Empowerment.
