On Monday, November 20, 2023, Lahore College for Women University actively participated in the All Punjab Universities Innovation Expo 2023, which took place at Expo Center Lahore. The event saw a substantial turnout from both public and private sector universities. Various departments of the university showcased their exceptional projects at numerous stalls designated for LCWU students. During the expo, Prof. Dr. Shagufta Naz, the Vice-Chancellor of LCWU, personally visited each stall, engaging with students and inquiring about the projects and their feasibility plans within the industry. She specifically instructed the Business Incubation Center (BIC) at LCWU to collaborate with students in advancing these projects, propelling them into the industrial spotlight. LCWU's projects garnered significant praise from the expo center's guests.The Innovation Expo also hosted panel discussions featuring vice-chancellors and industrial personalities, who deliberated on closing the gap between academia and industry. In her remarks, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shagufta Naz underscored the paramount importance of fostering strong ties between academia and industry, as well as encouraging entrepreneurial initiatives among students. The event was well attended by members of the LCWU faculty and management, contributing to a successful and fruitful participation in the All Punjab Universities Innovation Expo 2023.
